CAT 2018 results likely to be released in January 2019

HYDERABAD: The () was moderate this year with the aspirants and coaching centres in the city finding the question papers in slot one and slot two to be lengthier.

According to a paper analysis released by Time Institute, there were some changes, across sections, which in itself was not entirely unexpected. “In , the passages were of moderate length and were from topics which are considered to be interesting reads – Biology, Environment, History, Sociology, etc. . The surprise was the number of questions in the passages. Instead of the expected 6-Q and 3-Q passages, the test had four 5-Q passages and one 4-Q passage, which may have upset the strategy of students a little bit,” read the press release issued by Time.

With quite a few tricky questions, experts expect the cutoff to move marginally south this year as compared to CAT 2017. The results of CAT 2018 are expected to be released in January, 2019. The CAT exam is held to secure admission in coveted Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) apart from other MBA colleges across the country.
